"Of course slavery is wrong, but PIE helped us make a fiscal case for ending slavery is prisons. Their report is now a crucial part of our advocacy kit."

"We had a need for a very specific expert on somewhat short notice, without any obvious ways to find them. PIE met with us multiple times to understand what we needed, suggested many potential experts and we found a perfect match. A great resource to support our efforts."

"Volunteering with Public Interest Experts was one of the most meaningful professional experiences I’ve had. I supported a case focused on the rights of incarcerated people by helping identify and vet expert witnesses. Public interest cases often face significant barriers to accessing expert testimony, even when that testimony could make or break the case. PIE exists to change that. They bring the kind of rigorous, high-level expert support that is usually only available in commercial litigation to legal work that serves justice and equity. I was impressed by how thoughtful and collaborative the process was. PIE takes care to match the right experts to each case and supports everyone involved to ensure the work is both rigorous and impactful. It was an honor to contribute, and I would encourage anyone with relevant skills to get involved."

"As a volunteer with PIE, I have applied both my quantitative and qualitative skills to help address pressing issues affecting historically underserved communities. My experience with PIE has inspired me to pursue a master’s in public policy, where I can continue exploring these complex challenges with academic rigor and a focus on positive change. The collaboration and dedication of the PIE team make every project engaging, challenging, and deeply rewarding."
