Case Management needs to occur throughout the litigation or advocacy process.  Experts need to be acclimated to the case facts and theories and other specifics of the case as well as the complexities of the litigation process more generally, and their role in the case to enhance success.  Case management is generally done by the litigators in the case or by commercial litigation support consulting firms that charge very high fees, but in a public interest case, the luxury of staff or consultants for this role is often non-existent.

Public Interest Experts will collaborate with the public interest lawyers to help them manage the case. Public Interest Experts can be a conduit from the public interest lawyer to the expert and help the expert with the research and drafting and editing of the expert report. Public Interest Experts will also assist the public interest lawyers in preparing the expert for deposition and trial.
